| Climate and Clothing |

Kagawa is usually comfortable at the time of scheduled Conference. The
average temperature in October is in the range 15-25 C. Accordingly, a light
coat or jacket would be appropriate. |

| Currency and Shopping |

The unit of currency is Japanese yen.You can exchange foreign currency at banks, international airports, and other authorized money exchangers. A 5% sales tax will be applied to almost all consumer purchases in Japan. Tipping is not necessary for all services including hotels, restaurants and taxis. |

Although 100V is the standard power supply throughout Japan, regional differences exist between Kyoto and Western Japan - 60Hz and Tokyo and Eastern Japan - 50Hz. |

| Letter of Invitation Request |
| |
Upon request, the Secretariat Office will issue a letter of invitation. The sole purpose of the letter is to facilitate the participant's travel and visa arrangements. It does not imply provision of financial or other support. |
